Happy 2nd Birthday to my "big boy." Evan, I really can't believe how much you have changed in the short time since you were born. I love that you can communicate your needs and wants, your likes and dislikes. Your happy and social personality amazes me on a daily basis. I love your sweet kisses and hugs, your sense of humor, and your amazing creativity. I love to watch you learn new things such as climbing, hanging, counting, and connecting trains! And... when you walk around holding my hand, it makes me feel so special that I am your mommy!
Today was a fun day for all of us. Aunt Laurie (or Lordy as Evan says) took Evan to Toys-R-Us to pick out a birthday present. He had a good time looking at all of the cars and trucks there. But, the big hit was a big green garbage truck with a lever to tip the dumpster up. She also insisted that he must have the movie "Cars" as well as the little car he picked up at the register! On the way out of the store, he picked up a crown and balloon to further indicate his status as the king! It was cute really. Next we met up with Daddy for lunch and a cupcake at a bakery! In the evening Evan got to open his Brio train set (from Mommy and Daddy) and we set up the new sandbox from Nunnie! I'm so glad we decided on the train set for him, he really likes it! It was a special day for a very special little guy.
